Oh, man...I can’t even imagine shutting down all (or part) of that airport for even 15 minutes. I honestly think it should be AF1's job to seek out the reliever airports and stop shutting down the major ones. Seems like better security there because fewer people and a lower profile...

I don't know this, but I suspect that with the reduced resident unit presence at Dobbins, and the single runway close to major roads, he Secret Service may like the security situation at Hartsfield better.

I wouldn’t be surprised. The change happened about the time they closed down the NAS. They also have quicker access to the interstate from Hartsfield.
